Charlize is 16 years old and has been dancing for 9 years.  She trains at Encore Dance Academy in Reading, MA where she is a member of the dance company.  Although she takes classes in multiple styles, if she had to pick, her favorite would be contemporary.  When we asked Charlize what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves how dance can be interpreted in various ways.  She also told us that she loves how you can express your emotions through your movement in dance.  Fun fact - Charlize’s favorite part about dancing is performing!

“When I dance, all of my worries go away because I dance through my passion which is all I can think about.”

“I loved The Showcase at the end.  It was really nice seeing all of the dances from everyone."
