Meet Tessa!  Tessa is 9 years old and has been dancing for the past 6 years.  Tessa dances at Winthrop School of Performing Arts where she takes classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop.  Tessa’s favorite style of dance is hip hop because she loves the beat of the music and the choreography that goes along with it.  When we asked Tessa what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves dancing with her friends and learning new moves.  She loves it when she and all of her friends are in sync when they’re performing.  Dance makes Tessa feel alive when she is on stage with all of her friends.  She loves when the light goes up and they slay!  

 

Tessa’s favorite part of an Alive event is learning from a variety of different teachers.  She is looking forward to future events so that she can assist with a new generation of Alive dancers.  

 

Fun fact - In addition to dancing, Tessa also takes singing and acting classes at WSPA!
