Kenzie is 10 years old and has been dancing since she was 3!  She trains with her friends at Encore Dance Academy in Reading, MA where she is a member of their Petite competition team.  Kenzie trains in multiple styles every week, but her top three would have to be lyrical, jazz, and acro.  When we asked Kenzie what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves how it challenges her to be her best.  She also told us that she loves it because it allows her to express herself.  Fun fact - Kenzie performed in the Melrose Youth Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker for the past two years!

 

Why dance makes Kenzie feel ALIVE:

“The combination of music and movement, along with the energy I feel when performing in front of an audience, makes me feel alive.”

 

Kenzie’s favorite part of the most recent  Alive Dance Convention:

"I loved dancing with my friends and experiencing some new instructors and styles.  It was also fun to see Miss Jordan, who is my lyrical teacher this year!"
